‘74 contacts of Nasarawa lawmaker who died from COVID-19 have been traced – Gov Sule

The Nasarawa State Government has said that 74 contacts directly linked with the late Nasarawa State House of Assembly member (NSHA) Adamu Suleiman Ibrahim, who died from complications related to coronavirus has been traced.

DAILY POST reported that Ibrahim was confirmed dead on Thursday after he was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Keffi.

He was buried on Friday, according to Islamic rites.

However, the State’s Governor, Abdullahi Sule while briefing newsmen on Tuesday in Lafai during an expanded meeting to review measures put in place to curtail the spread of coronavirus in the state on Tuesday said that the 74 contacts traced were all in Nasarawa.

He said, “Our team is currently in Nasarawa taking samples of all the members of his family.

“The 74 contacts are all in Nasarawa and have nothing to do with the contacts he had at the assembly.

“Also, samples of close contacts of the lawmaker who are considered high risk, has taken for Coronavirus tests.

He also said that a total lockdown on the hometown of the late lawmaker has been imposed.
