Abuja: Police begins curfew enforcement in FCT

The FCT Police Command has announced the enforcement of the presidential directive on curfew in Abuja.

DSP Anjuguri Manzah, Police Public Relations Officer, in a statement on Tuesday, reminded residents that the curfew time is 8:00pm to 6:00am.

The command warned that the movement of persons will not be allowed within the curfew hours.

“The command has commenced enforcement of the overnight curfew. Members of the public are therefore advised to comply with the presidential directive.

“However, essential service providers, especially medical personnel who may be on duty at such hours will be considered”, it noted.

The Police spokesman added that those arrested will be detained and arraigned at the mobile courts the next morning.
