The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Balarabe Abdullahi, and the Emir of Nasarawa, Alhaji Usman Jibril have reacted to the death of Suleiman Adamu.
DAILY POST reported that the lawmaker representing Nasarawa Central Constituency, died on April 30 after a brief illness at the Federal Medical Centre, (FMC), Keffi.
Abdullahi, who led the funeral prayers of the deceased alongside few members of the state Legislature described Adamu’s death as shocking.
He added that the assembly would miss his positive contributions to the development of his constituency and the state at large.
“We received the death of our colleague with great shock; it is painful, heart-breaking but God gives life and takes at will.
“Members of the State House of Assembly have lost a friend, a colleague, and a brother.
“We pray that God grants the entire family and the Nasarawa Emirate Council the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” he said.
The Emir of Nasarawa also appreciated the Speaker and other lawmakers for the show of concern and prayed to God to bless them, NAN reports.
