President Muhammadu Buhari, Wednesday, had a telephone chat with the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Yusuf Buratai over the passing of his mother, Hajiya Hauwa Yusuf Buratai.
Presidential spokesman Garba Shehu, in a statement, shared the Nigerian leader’s conversation with Buratai.
Buhari condoled with all members of the family, praying that the almighty God ‘”will receive the soul of the departed matriarch”.
He also prayed that the almighty God will comfort Buratai, who has been at the epicenter of war against terrorists in the North-East.
In the last two weeks, ministers and other government officials have lost their parents.
Their ages are 70 and above.
Similarly, some monarchs have passed on in recent days.
Since mid-April, many Kano indigenes have been reported dead.
