Conoil, Smart Products, Arbico, Sovereign Trust top Ripples Nigeria stock watchlist

The Nigerian bourse posted gains last Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday while trade for the rest days ended in red with the corporate actions of the week informing Ripples Nigeria watch-list for this week.

We have selected a group of stocks you should watch out for this week on the basis of developments in the market last week and a number of technical factors.

CONOIL PLC

Conoil makes our list on the basis of its dividend proposal for Full Year 2019 last week, following the release of its financial statements for the said period, in which it posted 14.4% and 9.8% growth in revenue and profit respectively.

The board announced a proposal of N2 per share dividend subject to shareholders’ endorsement at its next annual general meeting to be announced later.

The qualification date has been fixed for 13th July while the payment date is to be announced later. Closure of Register is timed to happen from 14th to 17th.

Its Earnings Per Share (EPS) stands at N2.77 while its Price to Earnings (PE) ratio is 6.82.

SMART PRODUCTS NIGERIA PLC

Smart Products makes our list on the account of the board’s dividend proposal of N0.20 last week for Full Year 2019.

The company recently reported a 1% leap in earnings for the financial year 2019.

Its EPS is N0.12 while its PE ratio is 2.42 according to Bloomberg.

ARBICO PLC

Arbico features on our list this week by virtue of trading at its lowest price in 52 weeks. It currently sells for N1.71 per share.

Arbico’s EPS stands at N9.42 while its PE ratio is 0.18.

SOVEREIGN TRUST INSURANCE PLC

Sovereign Trust makes our on the basis of trading at its lowest price in 52 weeks. It currently sells for N0.20 per share. Its EPS is N0.06 while its PE ratio is 3.41.

COURTEVILLE BUSINESS SOLUTIONS PLC

Courteville appears on our list by virtue of trading at its lowest price in 52 weeks. It currently sells for N0.20 per share, has an EPS of N0.04 and a PE Ratio of 5.38.

GUINNESS NIGERIA PLC

Guinness features our list week by virtue of trading at its lowest price in 52 weeks. It currently sells for N14 per share, has an EPS of N1.18 and a PE Ratio of 11.38.

RED STAR EXPRESS PLC

Red Star Express makes our list on the account of being the highest price gainer last week. Opening at N2.97, the stock closed at N3.52, appreciating by 18.52%.

CUSTODIAN INVESTMENT PLC

Custodian Investment features on our list for being the highest price loser last week. Opening at N5.50, the stock closed at N4.90, appreciating by 10.91%.
