COVID-19: Nigerians react as Buhari extends lockdown in Lagos, Abuja, Ogun to May 4

Nigerians have taken to social media to air their opinions, after President Muhammadu Buhari eased the lockdown in Lagos and Ogun States as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Buhari, who addressed the nation on Monday night, revealed the lockdown will be relaxed from Monday, May 4.

“In line with the recommendations of the Presidential Task Force on COVID nineteen, the various Federal Government committees that have reviewed socio-economic matters and the Nigeria Governors Forum, I have approved for a phased and gradual easing of lockdown measures in FCT, Lagos and Ogun States effective from May 4, 2020,” he said.

Citizens have taken to Twitter with varying reactions to the statement.
