Edo govt confirms 7 new cases of Coronavirus

The Edo State government has confirmed seven new cases of Coronavirus disease in the state.

The confirmation was made by the state governor, Godwin Obaseki, in a tweet via his Twitter account on Friday.

The tweet reads, ”Seven new cases confirmed as at 10:00 am, 1st May, 2020.

“Total number of active cases: 31.

“10 patients have been discharged with 3 deaths recorded.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, on Thursday confirmed 204 new cases of Coronavirus disease in the country.

Nigeria now has 1,932 confirmed cases of COVID-19; 319 patients out of these have been discharged, while 58 deaths have been recorded.
