Gombe Govt confirms 18 new cases of coronavirus

The Gombe State government has confirmed eighteen new cases of coronavirus disease in the State.

The confirmation was made by the Special Assistant, media and publicity to the Governor, Ismail Umisilli in a tweet via his Twitter account on Thursday.

The tweet read “COVID-19 UPDATE as of 29th April, 2020.

“18 additional COVID-19 cases have been confirmed.

“Total number of confirmed cases in the State: 64.

“ No patient has been discharged and no death recorded.”

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, on Wednesday confirmed 196 new cases of coronavirus disease in the country.

Nigeria now has 1,728 confirmed cases of COVID19, 307 patients out of these have been discharged, while 51 deaths have been recorded.
