Katsina Govt confirms 8 new cases of coronavirus, records 4 deaths

Katsina State Government has confirmed 8 new cases of coronavirus disease in the State.

The confirmation was made known by the State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari who also stated that the State recorded four deaths, in a tweet via his Twitter account on Monday.

The tweet read “COVID-19 Update as at 12:15am 4th May 2020.

“8 new cases of COVID19Kastina cases confirmed.

“Total confirmed cases in Katsina are now 46.

“579 people have been tested.

“A total number of 6 patients have been discharged.

“Sadly we lost 4 patients, this brings to 7 the total number of deaths recorded in the State.

“Residents are advised to stay home and stay safe.”

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, on Sunday confirmed 170
new cases of coronavirus disease in the country.

Nigeria now has 2,558 confirmed cases of COVID-19; 400 patients out of these have been discharged, while 87 deaths have been recorded.
