Minister confirms discharge of 6 COVID-19 cases in Abuja

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mohammed Bello, Saturday confirmed the discharge of six COVID-19 patients from isolation centres in the nation’s capital.

Bello, who disclosed this on his official Twitter handle, said the patients tested negative twice for the virus before being discharged.

The development brought the number of patients who have recovered from the disease in the FCT to 46.

The minister said: “Dear FCT residents, I am delighted to announce the discharge of additional six #COVID19 patients in the FCT after they tested negative in the subsequent tests carried out.

“The total number of discharged patients in the FCT is now 46 as at 10:00 a.m., May 9th, 2020.”
