Nasarawa records first case of COVID-19

Nasarawa State Government has recorded its first Coronavirus case.

Governor Abdullahi Sule who made the announcement during a press briefing on Tuesday said the patient was a returnee from Kano.

“It is sad to announce that Nasarawa has recorded the first case from this lady that travelled from Kano to Kokona Local Government Area of the State.

Sule further stated that the patient has been evacuated to Lafia where she is being treated.

“We have also isolated the family where she came from so that we can conduct a proper test to ensure that her family members are not infected.”
