The Federal Government announced on Wednesday this year’s Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations organised by the National Examination Council (NECO) would start in October.
The Director, Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education, Ben Goong, who disclosed this in a statement titled: “FG Rolls Out Schedule For National Examination,” said the examination would start on October 5 and end November 18.
He added that the National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) examinations would commence September 21 and finish October 15.
The statement read: “Registration for NECO (SSCE) which is ongoing will end on September 10, 2020, and there shall be no extension for registration whatsoever.

“The Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, therefore, directed all examination bodies to release details of their examination timetables in the next seven days.”
The federal government had asked all schools throughout the country to reopen on August 4 for graduating students to write their examinations.
The government also disclosed that the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE) Examinations would commence on August 17.
