Police confirm release of kidnapped traditional ruler in Nasarawa

The Police Command in Nasarawa State has confirmed the release of a traditional ruler, Chief Abdullahi Magaji, who was abducted by gunmen on April 30.

DAILY POST had reported that Magaji, the “Aron Akye” of Ugah, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen at his residence in Ugah last week.

Confirming his release, the Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Police Command, Mr. Nansel Ramhan, told news men in Lafia on Tuesday that Magaji has been reunited with his family and is in good condition.

However, he said that no arrest had been made but investigation was going on to find the kidnappers of the traditional ruler, NAN reports.
