A Retired Deputy Commissioner of Police, Hamza Idris is dead.

Hamza Idris who retired from the Nigeria Police four years ago was the turbaned Village Head of Malikawa Garu in Jigawa State.

He reportedly died after suffering diabetic complications three days ago.

Breaking the news of his death to DAILY POST, his younger brother Rilwanu Idris Malikawa Garu said the former Deputy CP, left behind 15 children and one wife.

He said his brother after retirement decided to settle at his hometown Malikawa where he was turbanedv village head.

He said the deceased had been managing a diabetic condition since the past five years but became critical three days ago and lost the fight.

Rilwanu Idris Malikawa Garu said his brother has been buried according to Islamic rites.
