See The Two Countries In Africa With Highest Number Of Cases As Death Toll Hits 961

The Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) has revealed that there are now 18,333 confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in 52 countries across Africa with Egypt and South Africa having the highest number of cases.

Africa CDC stated this in a tweet on its official Twitter handle on Friday morning.

According to the tweet, COVID-19 has killed 961 people in Africa, while a total of 4,352 patients have recovered from the deadly disease across the continent.

Egypt is now the highest country in Africa with 2,673 cases and 196 deaths, followed by South Africa with 2,605 cases and 48 deaths, and Morocco with 2,283 cases and 130 deaths, while Algeria follows with 2,268 cases and 348 deaths.

Meanwhile, Nigeria recorded 35 confirmed cases of Coronavirus on Thursday night. 152 patients have been discharged with thirteen deaths as at Thursday night.
