Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, on Monday indefinitely suspended two officials of the state government for dereliction of duty.
The officials – the state’s Auditor-General, Innocent Nweda, and the Auditor General for Local Government in the state, George Ukpai, were accused of failing to prepare the annual audited accounts of the state and local government.
The Secretary to the State Government, Kenneth Ugbala, who disclosed this in a statement, said the duo had been directed to hand over to senior officers in their various offices.
